Governor's Scholars Program Students Visit R. J. Corman
The Governor's Scholars Program strives to enhance Kentucky's next generation of civic and economic leaders, and R. J. Corman hosted a group of students at Headquarters.
On Wednesday, June 26, students from Kentucky’s Governor's Scholars Program (GSP) visited R. J. Corman Headquarters in Nicholasville, Kentucky. These students are currently taking a course called 'R. J. Corman Business Accounting & Entrepreneurship' as part of the scholars’ program taking place at colleges in Kentucky.
The company has a long-standing relationship with the Governor's Scholars Program and has donated funding for several years. Not only have we made an annual donation, but we have also hosted field trips for the 'R. J. Corman Business Accounting & Entrepreneurship' students for the last eight years. During their visit, they are given a tour of our headquarters, spend time with company officials learning about the importance of the railroad, and learn how R. J. Corman works to serve the industry. R. J. Corman President and CEO, Ed Quinn, met with the students to talk about careers and furthering their education, and then opened the floor to questions from the students.
These students are exceptional, and we are happy to have had the opportunity to host them again this year.
