R. J. Corman Signaling: Building PTC Houses for Canadian National

In December 2017, R. J. Corman Signaling shipped out the first round of PTC houses for Canadian National (CN). CN hired R. J. Corman to assist with new PTC subdivision upgrades because of R. J. Corman’s capacity to support flexible due dates, along with competitive pricing and proven high quality of service. The Nicholasville, Kentucky wiring shop personnel, with support of administrative personnel and Signaling leadership, coordinated with the CN Engineering group to begin the wiring of PTC houses and to arrange all shipments to various locations ahead of CN installation to complete a fast-tracked construction project.

A total of 118 locations had new, upgraded PTC houses shipped and installed. Many of the locations required re-designs from the original house plans, and the changes were made in real time. R. J. Corman worked with CN Engineering and coordinated all changes to provide a seamless delivery schedule, and to get the houses updated prior to being shipped to the field. The group averaged 20 houses shipped per month for CN, with the last houses shipped in May of 2018. When the project was completed, a full CN subdivision was upgraded on-time with high quality wired signal houses.
