Logan Aluminum is the single largest rolling mill producing aluminum sheets for beverage cans in North America. The company provides aluminum for over 45% of the North American can market - that's over 2.5 billion pounds of aluminum annually. Logan Aluminum has had a working relationship with R. J. Corman for over three decades through the R. J. Corman Railroad Company Memphis Line, which serves the facility and the South Union DC that stores their aluminum coils.
The South Union Distribution Center is an R. J. Corman division that experiences a great deal of activity. This hub specializes in handling colossal coils of aluminum. The team constantly keeps things moving, loading and unloading trains and trucks with the help of their fleet of forklifts.
These impressive coils travel all over – some stay within the U.S. and Mexico, while others head further south to Central America and beyond! Ultimately, some of this metal transforms into everyday aluminum cans, while others become the building blocks of the auto industry.
