R. J. Corman's Christina Booth-Jackson Recognized by Railway Age as "2024 Women in Rail" Honoree

Christina Booth-Jackson, Vice President of Information Technology at R. J. Corman Railroad Group, has been recognized by Railway Age as one of the industry's leading women in 2024. This prestigious award honors outstanding female leaders making significant contributions to the North American rail industry.

Christina has been instrumental in modernizing the R. J. Corman technological ecosystem, contributing to the company’s increased impact within the railroad industry. Under her leadership, the IT department has implemented systems that drive efficiency, solve problems, and allow R. J. Corman and its employees to work smarter. Her department has played a key role in revamping R. J. Corman's Payroll, Emergency Services, Estimating Applications, Project Management Applications, Security Systems, Cybersecurity, Business Intelligence, and more, fostering closer collaboration between IT and other departments.

Christina Booth-Jackson holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Northern Kentucky University and a Master of Arts in Information Technology Management from Webster University. She is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) through ISACA, Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC) through Scrum.org, and holds an ITIL Foundation Level certification from AXELOS. Christina has also been honored with the Feiock Distinguished Graduate Award and was inducted into the Delta Mu Delta International Business Honor Society.

Christina is an active member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), a global professional association focused on IT governance, risk management, and cybersecurity.

One of the critical elements of Christina's leadership at R. J. Corman's IT department is to demystify technology, often perceived as intimidating due to its complex acronyms and technical jargon. She is committed to developing solutions that are both effective and user-friendly, fostering a culture where employees are eager to embrace technological advancements.

Under Christina's guidance, R. J. Corman's IT team successfully transitioned from outdated network shares to a cloud-based file-sharing solution. This initiative enhanced collaboration, security, and accessibility, enabling employees to work more efficiently on shared projects. While this implementation presented challenges, the organization has wholeheartedly adopted the new system.
