R. J. Corman Railroad Group, LLC Announces Interim President and CEO, Fred Mudge
R. J. Corman Board of Trustees announces the appointment of Fred Mudge to serve as interim President and CEO of R. J. Corman Railroad Group, LLC. In light of Craig King’s recent retirement, the Board of Trustees has been working diligently to seek out the best individual to permanently fill this role.
Mr. Mudge currently serves as chairman of the company’s Board of Directors and has been with the company for 17 years. Before joining R. J. Corman, he spent many years working the in aluminum business and served as the Secretary of Transportation for the state of Kentucky. His knowledge of internal company operations and external customer relationships make him well qualified to serve effectively in this position.
“I am looking forward to guiding the company through the transition following Mr. King’s retirement,” Mr. Mudge said. “I encourage our employees and customers to treat this transition as a non-event. Our primary goal is to focus on our Vision and Mission Statements for guidance and to restore our intensity in doing so.”
The Board of Trustees will continue their considerations for a highly qualified and capable President and CEO. They plan to complete the search within the next 60 to 90 days, at that time Mr. Mudge will return to his seat as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
R. J. Corman will continue to remain focused on its strategic plan of growth through current and prospective services and will maintain its strong commitment to customers and employees.
