R. J. Corman Railroad Group is pleased to announce a partnership with the Kentucky Labor Cabinet to create an Apprenticeship program. R. J. Corman seeks to continue investing resources into people, and it is expected that this program will help with the recruitment and retention of new employees.

Thirty years ago, Richard J. Corman purchased his first short line railroad in Bardstown, Kentucky; this acquisition marked the start of what is known today as R. J. Corman Railroad Company. Since that time, we have expanded to eleven short lines, totaling over 900 miles of track in nine states. Rick’s tenacious spirit and drive to succeed have and continue to inspire us to posture ourselves as a leader in the short line railroad industry.

Representative Sal Santoro Visits R. J. Corman Headquarters

Yesterday, Representative Sal Santoro visited R. J. Corman headquarters in Nicholasville, Kentucky to join us for Operation Lifesaver’s first annual Railroad Safety week. Representative Santoro is the Co-Chairman of the Budget Review Sub Committee on Transportation. He also has a young grandson who loves trains, so he understands the importance of educating the public, especially children, on how to be safe around railroad tracks and trains.
